History

On February 3rd of 2008, Ekklesia (“Ek-LAY-see-uh”) was launched in the former Livonia Shopping Mall.  After three months, we moved to Westland, MI.  The word “Ekklesia” is the original word for “church” in the original language of the New Testament.  Ekklesia’s desire is to discover the original teachings of Jesus and all of Scripture, and live them out.

We are non-denominational, and we don’t believe any one person, or any one church, or any one denomination has it all figured out. Every follower of Jesus, and every true church have pieces of the “puzzle,” but nobody has it all. So, we believe we need to encourage one another, learn from each other, work together for the Kingdom of God, and praise God for His grace functioning in all of us.
