Baptism

Once someone becomes a disciple by faith in Jesus Christ, he or she will definitely want to be baptized.  Getting baptized is when we take a person all the way under the water (symbolizing death), then bring them all the way back up (symbolizing re-birth)!  Baptism is a symbol.  It is a symbol of the fact that we have died to our old way of living (without Jesus Christ), and we have been re-born to a new life (following Jesus).  See Romans 6:1-23 for more info.  Also, here’s an example of one of our baptism services:
