Jesus taught, “Turn the other cheek,” and He didn’t just talk the talk… He walked the walk.  So, as a pastor, why am I leading a D-Group that teaches Christ-followers to box?  I’m fascinated by the fact that Jesus didn’t “turn the other cheek” because He was afraid… or because He didn’t have the ability to fight back.  Jesus can do whatever, whenever.  He is God.  His power is limitless.  I wonder how many times Christians “turn the other cheek” because of fear?  What if we had the power to pummel our enemies, yet choose otherwise because of Christ… because of love? In my D-Group, you will learn to box… but boxing will merely serve as a springboard for far greater spiritual authority than you are currently working with.  Beyond the physical demands of boxing, all students are expected to develop weekly spiritual discipline through prayer, fasting, and Scripture reading.

Cost: $3 per training session (gear included, except hand wraps and mouthguard)
