Disciples in Training

In the pages of the Bible, we see that Jesus’ disciples didn’t take kids seriously, because they didn’t think children had anything to offer them.  Imagine that?  The disciples were anxious to follow Jesus, and spread His mission around the world, and they didn’t see the point in taking time to invest in children?  Check out this passage from the Gospel of Mark:

People were bringing little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, He was indignant.  He said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them and blessed them (Mark 10:13-16).

Ekklesia loves kids, because God loves kids!  Kids aren’t only our future… they are “today.”  Kids matter right now, and we desire to help all children become who God created them to be.  Ekklesia provides excellent care and education for all children (infants – 5th grade).  We call them “Disciples in Training!”
